YANA WIDOWS OUTREACH PROJECT

PROVIDING FOOD STUFF FOR 200 WIDOWS IN MILE 16 BUEA … CAMEROON

There are approximately 600,000 to 800,000 Widows in Cameroon with the number varying as more data is collected. About 90% of them are living in poverty.

Since 2017, the growing socio political crises in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon leaves hundreds of women newly widowed and many others whose partners are missing or disappeared.

Some of them have been forced to leave their villages and towns and many lost everything to indiscriminate fire.

This has in turn, increased the chances of low standard of living, hunger, loneliness, depression, or even early death.
Most of them can barely feed or take care of their children

The YANA WIDOWS OUTREACH project will assist 200 widows in Mile 16 – Buea with food stuff and other necessities to enable them feed well this festive season
