The theme of this year’s World Earth Day celebration is “PLANET vs PLASTIC”, which not only underscores the effects of plastic pollution on our planet which include: prominent health risks, climate change, destruction of wild/marine life as well as leading to environmental damage, but also throws light on how to mitigate/reduce plastic pollution in our societies to promote sustainability.
In commemoration of the World Earth Day celebration 2024 under the theme “Planet vs Plastic”, today the 22 of April 2024, YANA USA INC is proud to have organized a massive cleanup campaign which took place in Buea, Southwest Region of Cameroon.
Our dedicated team of volunteers rolled up their sleeves as they got to work, tidying the environment around the Molyko Omnisport stadium in Buea of plastics and dirt in general, restoring the beauty of the environment.
By carrying out this cleanup campaign, YANA USA INC not only contributed to a cleaner environment, but also partakes in the global movement towards sustainability.
We believe that together, we can create a cleaner, greener future for our planet by implementing the 3 Rs of plastic management “REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE”.
